When it comes to a desktop computer purchase, you have the difficult task of making the right selection for your customer from the large number of processors available. One of the most important questions when purchasing a PC system is therefore: Which PC is most suitable for the customer? How much performance must it have in order to satisfy the customer’s requirements and needs?
If the PC will predominantly be used for office applications and standard tasks, i.e. word processing or spreadsheets, then a computer with an affordable i3 processor would be suitable. This low cost but capable processor can be used to run simple office applications without having to put up with long wait times and problems.
If your customer requires a little more performance, is running memory-intensive software, or is not just using the computer for everyday office applications, then a PC containing an i5 processor is the right model. An i5 processor is also recommended for multitasking activities, i.e. opening and working on several programs at the same time. The reason for the higher performance compared to an i3 processor is the number of cores. While the i3 processor in older models has a dual-core processor, i5 processors typically come with four cores and are therefore in almost all cases faster than conventional dual-core processors. The latest generation of processors (Coffee Lake S and above) now have more than 4 cores for the i3 processor and more than 6 cores for the i5 processor. Using a processor of this class, there is nothing stopping you playing games on the computer, doing image processing , or running other CPU-intensive applications.
Computer systems for the most stringent requirements and highest performance contain an Intel Core i7 or Intel Core i9 processor. PCs equipped with an Intel Core i9, in particular, operate quickly, for longer, and have a higher performance – perfect for the most demanding customers. With a high end processor like this, your customer's computer will be able to complete even the most elaborate video processing in the shortest possible time. If your customer is a demanding gamer, for example, you should recommend a computer with this kind of powerful processor.

Optimal & tailored features in the Captiva PC systems
The PC systems in our shop have, of course, been equipped with compatible hardware components from well-known, brand-name manufacturers that work together optimally. Besides the previously described processors, the capacity of the hard drive and RAM are particularly important when selecting the components.
In our wholesale PC shop, we offer retailers of computer parts and computers hard drives with a storage capacity of 120 GB to up to 4 TB, where 1 TB corresponds to approx. 1000 GB. For customers with a large collection of images and videos, a hard drive with a minimum capacity of 1 TB should be recommended, and hard drives with 2 TB or 4 TB can store almost any data without difficulty, whether it be documents, music or photos.
The same considerations as for processors apply when selecting the right RAM (Random Access Memory). To make the decision a little easier, we have integrated into our PC systems a suitable amount of RAM for the particular processor. Our computers are typically equipped with 4 GB to 64 GB of RAM, and more RAM is also possible depending on the customer’s wishes and requirements. If your customer is working with memory-hungry graphics or video programs or playing computer games, it is useful to have a relatively large amount of RAM. Most tower PCs are also able to be upgraded, so defective or outdated components such as hard drives, processors, RAM or graphics cards can very easily be replaced by new or more powerful components.
